Facebook in talks with Publishers to display their content in 'News' Tab

According to media reports, Facebook in engaged in discussion with American Publishers to display their content within the social media’s mobile app. Reportedly, the social media giant will pay these publishers millions to license their articles.

As part of the deal, Facebook would pull headlines and previews of the articles of their partner publishers and display them inside a ‘News Tab’ in the Facebook app. However, they would not show the article in its entirety.

This move comes soon after reports found that Google earned up to $1.4 billion on  news published on Google News.
