Facebook's tips to maximize lead generation

Facebook shared some new tips on how to maximize lead generation via Facebook posts and ads to boost the performance of your marketing efforts.

Facebook's tips cover four key elements of effective lead generation to help you formulate a better strategy to connect with prospective customers at the right time and also help reaching more potential customers based on your lead gen capture.

Here's what the blog post said about the four points :-

Lead Capture

Capturing leads is an important part of lead generation. Ensure your audience knows what they’re signing up for, and more importantly, why. What makes your business, products or services worthy of giving away a personal email address?

Lead Magnets

Adopt the “give before asking” mentality by offering your audience something in return for their information. This can be something like a one-sheeter, eBook, discount code, free trial, newsletter or webinar. Offering exclusive content can provide value to your audience, helping you nurture them into becoming a customer. Try to show your offer and its benefits in your ad creative or within your ad copy.

Landing Page

Optimize your landing pages to collect conversions. Test different landing pages of your website to see which has the highest click-through and conversion rate. Also consider setting up a website Custom Audience to create a retargeting audience to nurture those who aren’t ready to convert.

Lead Scoring

Once you maintain a steady influx of leads, it may be difficult to contact all your leads in a timely manner. Apply the lead scoring technique, which quantifies interactions that potential customers have with your content, by assigning point values for different types of engagement. For example, downloading your white paper is worth more points than unsubscribing from your email list. Save time and effort by contacting the leads that are most likely to convert first.

Now that you know what to think about when it comes to generating leads for your own business, we’ll show you what these ideas can look like in practice with a lead ad example.
