Fiat partners with Suzuki Motor Corporation; Italian gian to supply Fiat Diesel Engines to Maruti Suzuki (India)
Fiat and Suzuki Motor Corporation are continuing to expand their existing fruitful long term business relationship.
The parties have reached a further agreement for the supply of Fiat's 1.3L MultiJet 75hp BS-IV Small Diesel Engine produced under license by Fiat India Automobiles Limited (FIAL), the joint venture between Fiat and Tata Motors, to Suzuki's affiliate company Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL).
FIAL will supply up to 100.000 1.3L MultiJet 75hp SDE engines per year to MSIL starting from January 2012 for a period of three years.
The 1.3L Multijet has set the benchmark for efficiency and performance in its category, combining performance with low environmental impact.
