Firstpost announces its new digital show – Social Media Star
Firstpost expands its repertoire of captivating original digital shows with the announcement of its new offering – ‘Social Media Star.’ The upcoming show features a unique premise and will witness social media influencers decode their success, alongside celebrities who have aced the social media game. An innovative content offering, the series promises to bring audiences their favourite movers and shakers of the social media space at their candid best.
In a first-of-its-kind digital series, the long-standing questions surrounding the engagement, cult-following, reach and the makings of a social media star will be answered by the stars themselves. The 12 – 18 minute long captivating episodes will be rolled-out every fortnight for the audiences to get up, close and personal with their favourite social media personalities. The show will witness presence of Bollywood stars and social media personalities such as Sonam Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Masaba Gupta, Bhuvan Bam, Pooja Dhingra, Santoshi Shetty, Juhi Godambe, Shereen Sikka and Riaan George. Social Media Star has been conceptualised and anchored by Janice Sequeira.

A sneak-peek into the show released on 1st May, 2018 features Sonam Kapoor and Rega Jha getting candid with host Janice Sequeira about why they're addicted to social media and how they deal with trolls. Sonam is seen revealing details about her social posts on Anand Ahuja, while Rega talks about how the activist community helps her deal with online hate.
