Flipkart denies allegations made by its vendor

According to leading publication, Flipkart has denied the allegations made by one of its chief vendors, Marco Wagon Retail. The vendor has made allegations not only for non payment of dues but also for damages made around Rs. 20 crore.

As per the report of a leading publication, Marco Wagon alleged in a legal notice that it was asked by Flipkart to import Sketchers shoes from China, as the dealing would allow it to sell Sketchers products at much higher discount on the online marketplace, due to higher margins.

Recently, Flipkarts spokesperson to a leading publication said that the allegations made by Marco Wagon were incorrect. Moreover, they have already initiated appropriate legal proceedings, including criminal action against Macro Wagon and the matter is subjudice.

Last month Flipkart was acquired by Walmart in a deal that was being valued around $18bn-20bn.
