Former BARC India's Sunil Lulla embark towards a Portfolio Career

Former BARC India's CEO Sunil Lulla has decided to commence on a Portfolio Career after stepping down from the company. In his entrepreneurial journey, he will resume assisting Promoters and CXOs for The Linus Adventures, a company which he founded in August 2019 to scale their business and become leader brands.

In his new chapter, Lulla has also become a co-founder of an UAE based EdTech start-up focussed on India and MENA region. The purpose of this startup is to nurture the next generations, by providing them holistic development opportunities from an early stage in their life. 

"I am happy to share with you that after four decades of a fulfilling and an exciting ‘Employee Life’, I now embark on an ‘Portfolio Career’. An entrepreneurial journey which not only brings to the fore my diverse experiences but also creates meaningful opportunities to make a difference to those around me." Lulla shared this on his LinkedIn post.

"I am grateful for the privilege of working with some of the finest people and professionals without whom, none of the successes would have been possible. My roller-coaster ride will continue with the good wishes and affection of my family, friends, and well-wishers. I celebrate my new beginning on a new stage with a new play", he added.

For close to 4 decades Lulla has been actively involved in building brands and growing business, start-ups and turnarounds, across Media, Digital, Music, Advertising, Audience Measurement and the FMCG space. He has helmed the leadership role across many companies, which include: Broadcast Audience Research Council, Balaji Telefilms Ltd, GREY Group India, Times Television Network, Indya.com, SONY Entertainment, JWT, HMV and MTV.

He has also helped develop the Times Television Network (owned by the Times Group) which comprises of successful and leading TV channels: ET NOW, MOVIES NOW, ROMEDY NOW, TIMES NOW and zoOm. Its TV channels are present in over 70 countries.

In his previous stint at GREY, Lulla initiated and led the turnaround of the agency's growth and profitability, building a new team, new skills, robust new clients and a vibrant culture. He has also served as Group CEO of Balaji Telefilms Ltd and CEO of Broadcast Audience Research Council.
