Fortifying mass reach, Times Now Navbharat SD to go on air from January 1, 2022

Times Now Navbharat, the newest Hindi news channel from Times Network’s stable, has now been launched in its SD avatar. Times Now Navbharat HD had gone on air from August 1, 2021, with its positioning ‘Ab Badlega Bharat, Banega Navbharat’.

The launch of Times Now Navbharat SD was announced by Union Home Minister Amit Shah at the Times Now Summit 2021 today. The channel is slated to go on air from January 1, 2021.

Speaking at the event, Shah said, “It’s a new beginning. Congratulations to the entire Times Group. Times Group has a history in journalism. I wish Times Network all the best and hope it will achieve greater heights.”

Announcing the launch, Times Network MD and CEO MK Anand said, “After retaining No. 1 position in English news with Times Now, we launched our first Hindi news channel, Times Now Navbharat HD, in August, followed by Hindi business news channel ET Now Swadesh in October. Both the channels are doing well. Now in January, Times Now Navbharat will be launched in SD version, which will make it available to the masses across India.”
