FREED strengthens its leadership team

FREED announced the appointment of two key personnel. The company has strengthened its leadership team by adding Alok Sharma as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Rajiv Indimath as the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) & Head of Creditor Relations. 

Commenting on the appointments, Ritesh Srivastava, Founder and CEO, FREED, said, “As we envision to break the stigma surrounding debt in the minds of Indian consumers, it is imperative for us to provide them a platform which is easy to use and something they can trust. Alok’s and Rajiv’s tremendous length and breadth of experience across in creating corporate strategies for financial services, consumer, and enterprise companies, as well as their deep technical expertise will aid us unlock new doors to make debt relief in India more humane and borrower centric. With minds like Alok and Rajiv in our team now, FREED is enroute to build a never seen debt relief platform for consumers.”
 
An alumnus of IIT Madras and NIT Bhopal, Alok brings in over 24 years of experience in the technology industry. Having worked in markets across continents, including the US, Singapore, and India, at FREED, he will be spearheading the technology initiatives, innovation and product management. In his previous stints, he was instrumental in building highly productive teams comprising talented software engineers to deploy architecting, designing, and developing high-volume internet websites, distributed systems, and enterprise software for organizations like eBay, Citigroup, Guardian Life Insurance, CSC, and Compuware, amongst others. Alok is also a certified SCEA (Sun Certified Enterprise Architect) and PMP (Project Management Professional by PMI).

On the other hand, Rajiv Indimath’s mandate as Chief Strategy Officer will be to build upon FREED’s strategic capabilities to further enhance its value proposition and market leading reputation. He will be responsible for leading the strategy across critical areas including growth and investment strategy, business performance, organizational effectiveness, and promote the company’s development strategy. An alumnus of IIM Calcutta and Narsee Monjee University, he is an adept professional with over 10 years of experience in building corporate strategy across organizations like McKinsey and Citibank.
 
Commenting on his joining, Rajiv Indimath, CSO, FREED, said, “As FREED strives to get consumer out of their debt, it is critical to not only provide them the best solution but also make offer a win-win situation for the creditors. I believe that with my diverse experience, I could help the company make right decisions and provide innovative solutions to assist business transformation and implement growth strategy. Hence with company’s objective of elevating the collection efficiency for the creditors, I am excited to join the company and look forward to working with the amazing set of individuals.”
