Gautam Thakar, President and CEO of Star Sports moves on

Gautam Thakar has quit has President and CEO of Star Sports sources close to the development have informed Adgully. Sources claim he intends to begin his own entrepreneurial venture. Sanjog Gupta, Executive Vice President of Star TV Network will take charge of the sports division.  

Thakar joined Star Sports in 2018. He has a wealth of experience as an internet entrepreneur in global markets and 25 years of management experience in the development of consumer and internet businesses. During his career, he has been associated with companies like P&G, eBay, Shopping.com, LivingSocial, and was a Venture Partner at NextGen Venture Partners. He was also associated with the startup Baazee.com.

Sanjog Gupta has been associated with Star TV Network since 2010. He leads Sports content production across TV and Digital channels. He has had stints at NDTV as a News Editor and Star News India as an Associate Executive Producer.
