Genesis Bcw Appoints Anish Dasgupta As Senior Director, Digital

Genesis BCW, the communications agency in the business of moving people for some of the best global and Indian companies, today announced the appointment of Anish Dasgupta as Senior Director, Digital.  

In this role, Dasgupta will help create comprehensive strategies using social media, online reputation management, thought leadership, interactive experiences, influencer engagement, crisis management, and more, on behalf of corporations, consumer brands, foundations and other organisations. He will also drive the firm’s specialised digital employee advocacy, executive visibility programme, and other digital-first and Earned-Plus initiatives.   

Dasgupta is a seasoned advertising professional and a digital leader with over 15 years of experience in crafting digital journeys for brands. Prior to joining Genesis BCW, Dasgupta led digital teams for advertising agencies including Havas Creative and MRM McCann. He has worked in India and the Middle East, building campaigns for leading global brands across fast-moving consumer goods (Dabur Vatika, Rainbow Milk, London Dairy, and Frico), health and hygiene (Durex, Veet, Harpic, Dettol, and ACUVUE), financial services (HSBC, Zurich Life, and Kotak Mahindra Bank), technology (Microsoft and HP), consulting (PWC), automobiles (Volkswagen and Chevrolet), pharmaceuticals (Otrivin and Sanofi), and hospitality (Taj Hotels, Mamagoto). A highly awarded planner, his campaigns have won several Indian and international awards including Effies and WARC for strategic excellence, creativity and effectiveness.  

Dasgupta holds a Master's degree in Planning from the Mudra Institute of Communications Ahmedabad (MICA).
