Genesis Burson-Marsteller names Judith Ostronic as its new CMO!

Genesis Burson-Marsteller, South Asia's leading integrated communications firm specialising in public relations, public affairs and digital marketing services, has announced the appointment of Judith Ostronic as chief marketing officer. Ostronic will be based in Gurgaon, India and will report to Prema Sagar, Founder and Principal of Genesis Burson-Marsteller.

Ostronic comes to Genesis Burson-Marsteller from Direct Impact, a grassroots communications firm based in Washington, DC. Direct Impact is a wholly-owned subsidiary of leading global public relations and communications firm, Burson-Marsteller and is a member of the WPP family.

As chief marketing officer, Ostronic will work closely with Genesis Burson-Marsteller's Asia affiliates to develop and incorporate targeted new business strategies.

As vice president at Direct Impact since 2006, Ostronic specialised in developing and executing marketing strategies, advocacy campaigns, leadership training programs and integrated communications plans for national trade associations, global consumer brands and government agencies. Her primary function was working with different practices across the Burson-Marsteller family to create targeted and integrated campaigns for reaching key audiences and stakeholders.

In addition to new business development and client services, Ostronic played a key role in implementing Direct Impact's recent global expansion to the United Kingdom in 2011 and Canada in 2010.

Prior to joining Direct Impact, Ostronic represented Northeast Utilities System in Washington, DC, tracking federal energy policies and also served as Director of Legislative Affairs for the American International Automobile Dealers Association in Alexandria, Virginia. She is a graduate of Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Spanish.
