Get acquainted with the life of leading Philanthropist and PE investor Mr. Ashish Dhawan only on CNBC-TV18 Weekender

After having a heart-to-heart with some of the biggest industry leaders such as Renzo Rosso of Denim, Amit Burman from Dabur and Roland Roger, CEO & MD of Mercedez Benz and the voice of Indian cricket Harsha Bhogle , CNBC-TV18 is all geared up for one more episode of exploring the propitious life of one of India’s first and most successful private equity investors, Mr. Ashish Dhawan.

A venture capitalist by profession, Dhawan transitioned to an educator and founded the Ashoka University, India’s first liberal arts university. He spear headed and ran one of India’s leading private equity funds, Chrysalis Capital (ChrysCapital) and has served on the company’s board since 1999, but left his full-time position after twenty years in the investment management business to found Central Square Foundation (CSF), a grant-making organization and policy think tank focused on transforming the quality of school education in India.
CNBC-TV18's Nayantara Rai travelled to Ashoka University to find out why Dhawan considers philanthropy to be more rewarding than a successful career in investment management. Can Ashoka University be India's avatar of an Ivy League College? She also got Dhawan's views on the equity markets and the expanding universe of startups.

Tune in to get a sneak peek into the life and experience the anecdotes of this well-known Finance guru, Mr. Ashish Dhawan at 10:30 PM only on CNBC-TV18 Weekender.
