Gharry Eccles will take over as Tata Consumer's head of international business

Tata Consumer Products Ltd (TCPL), the FMCG arm of the Tata Group, said on Tuesday that Gharry Eccles has been named president of international operations. Eccles' appointment will take effect on January 17 and he will be stationed in Greenford, London, according to TCPL.

Adil Ahmad, who now occupies this position, will leave the firm on May 31, 2022, following a seven-year successful term. "Over the next several months, Eccles will work closely with Ahmad to ensure a smooth and seamless transition," it added.

Eccles has extensive consumer product expertise, having worked at companies including PZ Cussons PLC, Muller Dairy Ltd, The Wrigley Company, and Kimberly Clarke Europe. Eccles was formerly vice president of Cereal Partners Worldwide, a joint venture between Nestle and General Mills, where he was responsible for the UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.

With an annual sales of Rs 11,600 crore and operations in India and worldwide markets, TCPL is the world's second-largest branded tea firm. Tata Tea, Tetley, Eight O'Clock Coffee, Tata Coffee Grand, Himalayan Natural Mineral Water, Tata Water Plus, and Tata Gluco Plus are among of the company's most well-known beverage brands.
