Goafest 2015: J. Walter Thompson India picked up most metals this year

J. Walter Thompson India picked up a total of 35 metals this year — winning 9 Gold, 8 Silver and 18

After two days of fluid intoxication in Goafest 2015, the last day saw an amazing response from the audiences for the Google Abby Awards. Spread across eight categories, Goafest had a snappy comeback as compared to last year.  While the Gold’s given away this year were 69 as compared to 50 last year, Silver saw a dip from 119 to 102 this year. There were 172 Bronze awards given away this year as compared to 164 last year. J. Walter Thompson India picked up a total of 35 metals this year — winning 9 Gold, 8 Silver and 18

Bronze across categories such as integrated advertising, film, digital, Out-of-Home, etc. Following this with 22 metals was Contract India which won 4 Gold, 8 Silver and 10 Bronze. The third highest number of metals was picked up by ad agency, Taproot Dentsu, with 15 metals in all, including 1 Gold, 7 Silver and 7 bronze. 

Indeed the jury has been liberal while giving awards this year. The creative chair had four to five jury members for the categories and there was a great response from the all the participants.

Here is a look at the winners across categories: 

Ambient Media

17 awards were given in this category out of which four were gold, five were silver and eight were bronze. The agencies which won the gold metal were Famous   nnovations for Master’s Imperial Publications; Havas Worldwide won two Gold’s for Child Survival India and Cheil India for Salaam

This category saw 10 metals that were given away out of which two each were gold and silver and six were bronze. DDB Mudra Group won gold for Volkswagen while TBWA Sri Lanka won gold for Ceylong Tday & Mawbina National Newspapers.

Film Craft

The category saw a total of twenty one awards out of which six were gold, eight were silver and seven were bronze. Early Man Film Pvt Ltd bagged three gold’s, one for Nescafe Classic and two for Cadbury 5 Star. JWT India won three gold’s too; all three being for Nike cricket.

Integrated Advertising

This category saw eight metals that were given away out of which three were silver and five were bronze. There was no Gold given away in this category.

Digital Abbey

A Total of 36 metals were given away in this category out of which one was gold, nine were silver and twenty six bronze. Dentsu Webchutney won the gold for Turquoise Cottage for their Happy Hours rewind campaign.

Design

The design category saw a total of thirty one metals that were given away out of which five were gold, seven were silver and nineteen were bronze. Umbrella Design won two gold’s; both for Milk. Autumn Winter Communications & Design won gold for Lawman PG3. Code Red Films won an award for Code Red Films “It’s all about stories campaign”. Taproot Dentsu won gold for Mumbai Mirror.

Out of Home

This category saw the maximum number of metals that were given. A total of forty metals were given out of which nine were gold, fourteen were silver and seventeen bronze. Ideas work won two gold’s one for all that’s good and one for Rustomjee. Publicis Communications Pvt Ltd won gold for Henko Stain Champion Detergent campaign. Rediffusion Y & R Pvt Ltd won gold for Paper Kraft – Ruled & Dotted. Famous Innovations won gold for Master’s Imperial Publications. Eleven;  43 won gold for Q’ Exhibition. DDB Mudra Group won gold for Zee News. Cheil India won gold for Halonix. Lastly, FCB Ulka Advertising won gold for Dignity Foundation.

Film
