Godhuli Alap: an age-difference story of maturing in love

Star Jalsha introduces yet another unique and distinctively different concept of breaking all boundaries in love through their upcoming fiction show Godhuli Alap scheduled to launch on 21st March at 6pm. The story revolves around two individuals who despite having vast age differences and coming from different social and cultural backgrounds get united by destiny. With a unique approach, the show explores age disparity, the fear of social dismissal, and the taboos that exist in it.

Godhuli Alap, the story of a renowned middle-aged advocate, Arindam Roy and a young, sweet, lively village girl, Nolok who has a Bohurupi group of her own. Their lives take a twist of fate due to a promise made by advocate Arindam Roy, to Nolok’s father. Arindam Roy, the well-established advocate from Kolkata, has sacrificed his youth only to fight for justice for the farmers of Mourigram. He has been so involved in a case running for 20 years that he didn’t get time to think about his personal life, rather he had sworn that he will not get married unless he can bring justice to the poor farmers of the village. But fate and destiny take their own course of action and he meets Nolok…

Through the story, Star Jalsha depicts how love can grow and mature amongst people of diverse backgrounds despite huge differences in age, class & creed.

The audience will witness one of the most versatile actors of the entertainment industry and an acclaimed theatre personality Koushik Sen in the role of Arindam Roy. The character of Nolok will be played by a young budding actress Somu Sarkar. The ensemble cast also features Sohag Sen in the character of Arundhati as Arindam’s mother, Bhaswar Chattopadhyay in the character of Agni as Arindam’s brother, and Arpita Mukherjee in the character of Chaiti as Agni’s wife, Riju as Aditto, Arindam’s brother, Diya and many more.

The show is produced by Raj Chakraborty entertainment, who has created some of the most celebrated TV shows and movies that have become synonymous with the identity of the Bengali entertainment industry.

Introducing the serial to the viewers, the spokesperson of the channel said, “Godhuli Alap is one differentiated content that recognizes the journey of a simple village girl maturing in love and finding purpose in life. We are sure that the audience would love to witness this unusual tale of love.“
