Google India appoints Durga Raghunath as Head of News Partnerships

Durga Raghunath, digital news media executive, has been appointed as the Head of News Partnerships at Google India. Prior to this, she was the Digital Head at Times Internet, Ahmedabad Mirror, Bangalore Mirror, Pune Mirror, Mumbai Mirror, Etimes, Newspoint, and Gadgets Now. She is the CEO and co-founder of Juggernaut Books. Earlier, she was also the SVP of Growth at Zomato and the CEO of Digital at the Indian Express. In her ten years of career, she has been the CEO of Network18 Digital/Web18 for four years and was also the CEO and founder of Firstpost. For one year, she has been the Indian Editor, Mobile and New Digital Products at The Wall Street Journal. Prior to that she was the Managing Editor/GM of Livemint. She started her career with Orient Longman Pvt Ltd as an Assistant Editor and then joined HarperCollins in marketing planning in New York. She holds a publishing degree from Columbia University and an MBA from the Indian School of Business.
