Google Ngrams shows, ‘New Normal’ is the most used phrase of 2021

According to Google, the word "today more than ever" was the most searched and used in 2020, whereas "new normal" amid the Covid-19 outbreak was the most searched and used in 2021.

Google's 'Ngrams' tool (created by a Google Books staff member in 2009) has showed how words and phrases have risen and declined in popularity over time.

Ngrams displays how particular words or phrases have been used in books and other works of literature over time, allowing us to track their popularity over time.
