Google's Shalini Poddar joins Disney+ Hotstar as EVP - Head of Sales

Disney+Hotstar has roped in Google's former Head of Business Development Shalini Poddar as EVP- Head of Sales, as per her LinkedIn profile.

In her new role, she will be responsible for country Ad Sales Revenue and Strategy for Disney+ Hotstar. Shalini will lead a highly talented team (140+) across all aspects of the Ads business from Business Planning, Sales, Sales Strategy including pricing and formats, Revenue Management, Operations, Data Partnerships, Programmatic, Brand Lab, Measurement/ROI and Customer Marketing.

She has replaced Gulshan Verma who had quit Disney+ Hotstar in July.

Shalini joined Google in 2013 as Industry Manager - Telecom, Gaming and Payments and last served as Head of Business Development, Google Play Apps - India, South East Asia & Australia in 2021.

She is an impact focused leader with ~17 years of experience across Consulting, Strategy, Business Development, Sales, Partnerships and Marketing across industry verticals.
