Gracy Singh and Tanvi Dogra wish everyone a Shubh Chaitra Navratri
The festival of Chaitra Navratri is considered to be the most auspicious time of the year. The nine-day festival is celebrated with immense joy and devotion by Hindus all across the world as it also coincides with the Hindu new year which falls on April 13. The festivities begin with a ritual called Ghatasthapana followed by fasting for 9 days. Highlighting the same, Gracy Singh (Santoshi Maa) and Tanvi Dogra (Swati) from &TV’s Santoshi Maa Sunaye Vrat Kathayein convey their wishes and share the true essence of Chaitra Navratri Vrat. Gracy Singh aka Santoshi Maa shares, “During Chaitra Navratri, Goddess Durga is worshipped all through the nine days. The devotees believe that Goddess Durga manifests herself in three main avatars- Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati. Each day is dedicated to a particular avatar of Goddess Durga. Devotees believe that She blesses us with inner strength and also helps in attaining salvation and a better future. I wish everyone shubh Chaitra Navratri” Speaking of the Chaitra Navratri vrat vidhi, Tanvi Dogra aka Swati shares, “As each day of Chaitra Navratri is dedicated to a particular form of Goddess Durga, the rituals and puja vidhi of each day are also different. Devotees who observe Chaitra Navratri, fast throughout the day and eat only once after the sun sets. The nineth day of Chaitra Navratri is also celebrated as Ram Navami. According to the mythology, Lord Ram was born on this day. On Navami, Siddhidatri Mata puja is performed by the devotees and they believe that performing the puja brings success, wealth and glory. On this auspicious festival, on behalf of the entire team of &TV’s Santoshi Maa Sunayein Vrat Kathayein, I wish everyone a Shubh Chaitra Navratri!”
