Groupon Marketing Head, Vinayak Hegde joins Airbnb

Vinayak Hegde who was Chief Marketing Officer at Groupon has joined as Lead, Global Marketing and Traffic Platform at Airbnb. The position had been vacant ever since Johnathan Mildenhall stepped down in 2017. In his new role, Hegde will be in charge of all marketing activities for the company's Home division.

Hegde has nearly 20 years of marketing experience, having previously worked with Amazon, and later Groupon as its Senior Vice President and Global Chief Marketing Officer.
