For online / internet, one phrase is common viz. “Content is the king”. So for online success, basic requirement is exclusive & huge content. However, only content cannot ensure the online success. It needs to be supplemented by strong branding & marketing. There are so many examples, where overnight the website has become famous by heavy advertising and promotions, for e.g. Flipkart, Snapdeal, Zomato, etc. Interestingly, there are many ways in which one can succeed in cost economical branding. Some of them are:
- Search Engine Optimization: The website should be optimized for all major keywords related to the website and through SEO should get top ranking in search results related to those keywords. This itself can ensure amazing visibility. It is very common to use search engine when we want any information or want to find out something. When we rank top on this keywords, it gets noticed by many.
- Social Media: Nowadays, social media has become more powerful. People make opinion based on many news / talk in social media. Hence, strong social media promotion strategy will help to spread the awareness about the website. Also, it helps to connect with the user community and inform them about new development on the website. Regularly in news in social media improves awareness about the website & in turn creates a brand.
- E-mail newsletter: Create a database of user community and send them regular newsletter along with information which is useful for them.
