Gujarati MiD DAY all set to launch its Sunday edition!

Leading Gujarati Newspaper and the favourite local newspaper, Gujarati MiD DAY, is all set to launch a Sunday edition for its readers. Gujarati MiD DAY, which caters to the affluent Gujarati and Marwari communities, is currently available from Monday to Saturday. Starting this Sunday, i.e. 14th August 2011, Gujarati MiD DAY will also be available to its readers on Sundays.

GMD currently is a morning newspaper and majority of the circulation is through home delivery network but through 6 days a week. Over the period of time, there has been a demand from a majority of the readers to give them their favorite paper every day which includes Sunday when they have more time to read. The product is going to be one of the best in the city to fill the need of a weekend reading and also to be used as weekly magazines for rest of the week. We call it 2 in 1. The highlight of the new product is the magazine section in 32 pages of tabloid with no advertising, a first of its kind .Apart from this there will be a regular news and sports section in 32 pages, priced at Rs. 4. The weekend section is expected to be the best among all days. Unlike any other new publication, Sunday Gujarati will offer a ready readership base to the advertisers as we are filling the gap for the ready readers.

Speaking on the launch of Sunday Gujarati MiD DAY, MiD DAY MD & CEO Manajit Ghoshal said, "Gujarati MiD DAY is meant for the affluent Gujarati & Marwari community and the demand for a Sunday edition of Gujarati MiD DAY has been on the rise since the last few years. Gujarati MiD DAY strengthens our connect with the Gujarati community in Mumbai and reinforces MiD DAY's position as a local city newspaper. The USP of the product is a first of its kind, 32 pager Magazine that can be read throughout the week or a long read newspaper for Sunday. This space is not cluttered by other publications and hence we foresee a lucrative growth for this edition."
