Hathway’s TS Panesar to head DSport business in India

TS Panesar, former CEO of Hathway Video Business, has been named Head of the DSport Channel business in India. Panesar had quit Hathway at the beginning of this month. 

DSport is the all new premium sports channel in India from Discovery Communications. DSport aims to be the home of live sports action in India. The channel will have a rich catalogue covering over 4,000 hours of live content every year and will serve sports fans across the Indian Sub-continent. 

DSport has already secured the broadcast rights of diverse sports properties such as Wrestling – ‘Ring of Honor’; Mixed Martial Arts – ‘Cage Warriors’; Golf – The Open; and Football – The AUDI Cup. 

DSport has also partnered with Nodwin Gaming to showcase the flagship esports tournament in the country – ESL India Premiership.
