Havells India bags 'National Energy Conservation Award' for the second consecutive Year

Havells India Ltd., a leading player in the Lighting & Fixtures segment, electrical and power equipment sector in India, has bagged the National Energy Conservation Award 2011 for Energy Conservation in the manufacturing of BEE Star-labeled appliances (Ceiling Fans) sector. Sushil Kumar Shinde, Union Minister of Power, Government of India, presented the award to Sunil Sikka, President, Havells India Ltd.

This is the second time in succession that the company has been awarded for implementing best practices and the only company in India to win this award since the award has been (in the fans category) constituted. The National Energy Conservation Awards are presented to organizations which have made systematic and serious attempts for efficient utilization and conservation of energy in various sectors such as industrial units, buildings, municipalities, etc.
