Havmor Ice Cream takes you on a virtual tour with Malhar Thakar

Embarking its way to the new normal, Havmor Ice Cream, one of India’s leading ice cream brands is unveiling the launch of its web series “Havmor Passport” in association with the celebrated artist, Malhar Thakar. Beginning today, the series with the tagline “Khaata Jao, Farta Jao”, promises to take the audience on a virtual tour of seven international destinations with Malhar and his favourite Havmor ice cream.

Gujaratis are known for their eternal love for sweets and travel. And at a time when we have been denied these simple joys, Havmor is making it possible for them to travel virtually without leaving the safety of their home, with Havmor Passport. A virtual travel show with engaging regional content where Malhar and his favourite Havmor ice cream catch up with his friends around the world, who give him a tour of exotic locations.

 Mr. Anindya Dutta, MD, Havmor Ice Cream said, “This is a one of its kind concept which has not been explored earlier. The purpose behind launching such content is to bring back positivity around people, and considering they can’t step out and travel, take them on an exciting virtual tour. As a brand, we aim to connect with our consumers and bring the conversation back to the category.”

 Commenting on the launch, Mr. Shekhar Agarwal, Head of Marketing, Havmor Ice Cream, said, “This is our first attempt at creating something so unique on the YouTube platform and we’ve kept the content short and fun. We also wanted a more geographically-focused approach and decided to bet big on the Gujarat market by launching a series in the Gujarati language. In the process, we realised how big the demand of regional content in our country is and its consumption is only increasing.”

 On his association, renowned actor Malhar Thakar said, “I am elated to be associated with Havmor Ice Cream and be a part of the web series. The series is very close to my heart, given that I love to travel, and I love ice cream.  The series is written and directed by The Comedy Factory and has been conceptualised by Sideways. The idea behind the series is to bring back the joy of simple things like travelling and enjoying ice creams with your loved ones. The seven episodes will go on for seven weeks; a new episode will be launched every Friday on the Havmor YouTube channel.
