HBO celebrates a month of cinematic glory

Home to the biggest Hollywood blockbusters, HBO India is all set to enthral its audiences with award winning masterpieces this whole month. With the Academy Awards less than two weeks away HBO India is celebrating world-class cinema by showcasing movies like Breakfast at Tiffany’s, The Dark Knight, The Departed, Troy, Saving Private Ryan as a run-up to the Academy Awards on February 26, 2017.

From 12th to 25th February, HBO will be promoting an 11 pm slot - Hall of Fame. With titles which require no introduction, the channel promises to deliver the best of English-language entertainment. Superhero sagas, crime thrillers, animated comedy, war drama are just some of the genres in the boutique being offered to the viewers this month.

HBO celebrated the Academy Month which started on 5th February with seven exclusive titles on HBO HD like The Artist, No Country for Old Men, The Godfather Part II, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, The Untouchables, The Hunt for Red October & The Fugitive, a week before Hall of Fame on HBO (SD feed).

The Academy Awards night couldn’t get better with HBO premiering 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, an Oscar Nominee for Best Achievement in Sound Mixing (2016), movie based on real life incidents and the most politically explosive ’13 hours in recent history. Directed by Michael Bay, the movie is about the 2012 Benghazi attack on a US diplomatic compound and a CIA annex, killing four Americans including U.S Ambassador Chris Stevens.
