Health and Education are top preferences of India Inc for CSR activities: Farm insights

Health and Education were the top preference for India Inc when it came to initiating CSR activities. While initiative like Creating Sustainable livelihood (rural & tribal), Women empowerment and Environment also took a bigger chunk of the pie when it came to India Inc’s choice for CSR.

The outcome was from a report “India Inc preference for CSR”, a methodical pan India study by listening to audience conversations across social media and other platforms like FB, Twitter, blogs, forums, online news etc in the past 3 years across all age group (18 – 65+ yrs). The study was conducted by farm insights, carefully obtained after sifting through over sample of over 9,000 conversations through a state of the art, Artificial Intelligence tool powered by Talkwalker.

Jindal Steel & power (JSPL) had the highest affinity amongst all corporates and topped the conversation list for its significant contribution to India through its various social initiatives, followed by Canon, Aditya Birla Group, AmeriCares, Tech Mahindra, Feeding America and Piramal Foundation.

CSR for Pandemic (COVID-19) topped the conversation mainly in 2020 with corporates supporting awareness drives for controlling the disease and now coming forth to aid the government with vaccination drives. All major social media brands Whatsapp, Facebook and Twitter along with Google had larger affinity with the audience during the pandemic (year 2020).
