Hillary Clinton, Rosie O' Donnell to reveal stories of motherhood on TLC

They re-wrote the rules for women of their time, stepping out of the shadows of men to make their own mark in history. Former Secretary of State - Hillary Clinton, Rosie O'Donnell – Comedian and founder of Rosie Theatre kids along with other inspirational everyday moms, have candid conversations about how to raise good kids, how to balance work and family and the power women possess to change the world for the better in EXTRAORDINARY MOMS.

Hosted and executive produced by Academy Award winning actress, Julia Roberts, this one hour special programme explores the power of mothers and features five courageous, brilliant and awe-inspiring women who share a powerful connection: the love they have for their children combined with a desire to protect the future of all children. EXTRAORDINARY MOMS will premiere on Mother’s Day, May 12th, Sunday at 8:00 p.m. only on TLC.

Rahul Johri, senior vice president and general manager - South Asia, Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific, “TLC celebrates Mother’s Day with some of the world’s most fabulous women and their enchanting stories. All of these women's lives have been altered by motherhood, but their stories will resonate with anyone who wants to make a positive difference in the world.”

As a mother of three young children, Julia wanted to produce EXTRAORDINARY MOMS after realising how her world view has changed since becoming a mother. She wanted to profile women who had also undergone this profound change and in the process become inspired to take on causes that can make the world a better place for future generations. Each mom featured in EXTRAORDINARY MOMS began their missions after their own personal encounters leading to stories that are both dramatic and empowering.

From the likes of the United States of America’s former Secretary of State, Hilary Clinton, who finds the right balance between family, work and service even while working on a global scale to founder of the Harmony Project and domestic violence survivor, Dr. Margaret Martin, to comedian and founder of Rosie’s Theatre Kids, Rosie O’Donnell who at the tender age of 10 lost her mother to breast cancer, the stories of these EXTRAORDINARY MOMS are truly inspiring and impactful.
