Hindustan Times distributed free on day of election results

Surprise was in store for the readers of Hindustan Times, the English daily from the HT Media Group, when the publication distributed free copies of the eight page newspaper on the day of the election results on May 16, 2014.  Readers in Mumbai and Delhi were able to catch up with the updated details of the election results as the paper was distributed at railway stations, metro stations, arterial roads and other intersections.

The early afternoon edition kept the readers informed about the developments as the paper covered the election results that poured in from different corners of the country. May 16, being a working day, most readers were unable to access news with regard to the results and hence this gesture on part of the publication benefitted the readers.

This special edition covered election result news from all the different demographics in the country and featured detailed data indicating the progress of the PM designate expected to come to power in the country.
