History TV 18 launches new show

Food, water and shelter are all basic necessities for a man to survive, but another powerful need that has transformed history over time, has been sex.  History of Sex narrates the journey of this evolution on Monday, 16th February 11:00PM only on HISTORY TV18.

This six part series will focus on the century’s myriad innovations and movements, especially those that are of a sexual nature. From the women at workplace to automobile and motion picture, each of these have played an integral part of the early sexual revolution.

The series showcases the inception of the first latex condom in the 19th century to the invention of the contraceptive pills in the 1960’s. The later part of the series highlights Masters  & Johnson's sexual studies, the early years of AIDS, Viagra and the impact of the internet.

History of Sex, spans over thousands of years and sheds light on how the idea of sex has changed: from Ghengis Khan using it to expand the Mongol Empire to the survival of harems for thousands of years and even how Hoover used it to blackmail top level politicians.

Not just that, the series will also reveal surprising histories behind Cornflakes, World War II pinup girls, car design and much more.
