History TV18 presents the Beatles: the night that changed America

The Beatles created something that never trailed off. Across the past five decades, no band has influenced pop culture the way the Beatles have. John Lennon, the legend who formed the iconic band, rightly said, “There's nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be...” On the occasion of his 74th birth anniversary, HISTORY TV18 presents ‘THE BEATLES: THE NIGHT THAT CHANGED AMERICA, A GRAMMY® SALUTE’ on 9th October, 2014 at 6:30PM.The show will also be telecast on the same day on VH1 at 7PM and CNBC TV18 on 11th October, 2014 at 10PM.

This memorable special features incredible, wall-to-wall performances by Sir Paul McCartney & Ringo Starr together, Imagine Dragons , Maroon 5, Gary Clark, Jr. Dave Grohl (of Foo Fighters) & Joe Walsh (of Eagles), Alicia Keys & John Legend, Eurythmics (Annie Lennox & Dave Stewart reunited for one night only), Jeff Lynne (of E.L.O. and Traveling Wilburys) & Dave Grohl, Jeff Lynne & Joe Walsh joined by Dhani Harrison (George Harrison’s son), John Mayer & Keith Urban, Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran, Pharrell Williams & Brad Paisley and Stevie Wonder.

THE BEATLES: THE NIGHT THAT CHANGED AMERICA, A GRAMMY® SALUTE brings together these current icons covering songs performed by the Beatles on their groundbreaking first appearance on "The Ed Sullivan Show" in 1964, as well as other Fab Four hit songs through the years. Their appearance was one of the most watched television events ever — with 74 million people tuning in to watch the group perform five songs during the variety hour – and is considered by many historians and critics as one of the most important moments in music and television. The show celebrates 50 years since their iconic visit to America and their performance on The Ed Sullivan Show.
