HolidayIQ ropes in Remo Fernandes to boost "Goa to the power of HolidayIQ" campaign

HolidayIQ.com has announced the launch of “Goa to the power of HolidayIQ”, a first-of-its-kind initiative that aims to improve the traveller experience in Goa by generating hotel reviews in the coastal state using ‘hiq!PAD’.

A tablet device with a cutting edge customized application for each hotel, ‘hiq!PAD’ will enable customers to share reviews of the hotel and they go straight to million other travelers through HolidayIQ.com.

The hiq!PAD will also work as a consultant to hotels, by providing them analytics to track customer feedback in real time and modify their offerings to improve customer experience. Also, this is the ideal time to launch the initiative as Goa sees maximum visitors between Nov-Jan. These visitors and hotels can now come together through “Goa to the power of HolidayIQ” and make the experience of travelling to Goa better.

Announced at a press conference today at the Goa Marriott Resort and Spa, Panaji, this campaign will last till February, 2013. This innovative campaign promises to present the travelers with an opportunity to make Goa a better place to travel by sharing their valuable hotel reviews through hiq!PAD on HolidayIQ.com. Also the initiative culminates with an award function that honors key hotels of Goa on the basis of the reviews received through hiq!PAD.

Infused with a surprise, Holiday IQ has roped in celebrated singer and musician Remo Fernandes to compose the anthem for the campaign called ‘The hiq! song’(a hiq! is a review on HolidayIQ.com). The song will not only capture the essence of the campaign, but his love for the place as well.

“Goa is my home, and one always wants what's best for one's own home. Because Goa is India's most sought out destination, too much blatant ripping off of tourists has been going on here in the form of sub-standard qualit and quantity of services rendered. For the very first time the end customer, i.e. the tourist, will have an open international platform to voice his praises and criticism. This can only inspire the poor service providers to pull up their socks, the good ones to get better, and the best ones to keep their positions. And I'm not talking about stars here. Even the simplest private guesthouse can get wonderful HIQs. And I'm all for Goa gaining in a constructive way. That's why I'm all for HIQ.” said Remo.

HolidayIQ’s “Goa to the power of HolidayIQ” campaign is designed to ensure maximum reach; the campaign plans will see various marketing and promotional routes including OOH, print advertising, online advertising, in-hotel marketing, ad commercials, hiq! song promotion and more.

For the campaign, HolidayIQ will soon tie up with the top hotels of Goa spanning across various categories like resorts, guest houses, homes stays and more. The hiq!PAD comes under HolidayIQ’s established program called ReviewDirect, an engine which allows all guests to provide their personal feedback about any particular hotel or any other stay options on HolidayIQ.com.
Commenting on the campaign, Hari Nair, Founder and CEO, HolidayIQ stated, “We at HolidayIQ believe that a travel experience is never complete until you review your experience. We have termed each review on HolidayIQ as a ‘hiq!’. In fact, HolidayIQ also believes that writing a hiq! is a gift from one traveller to another. By writing a hiq!, people are gifting a better travel experience to others. The self-gratitude of doing this is unfathomable. If you don’t believe this, write a hiq! and experience the feeling yourself! Through this campaign, we not only hope to accumulate a good number of reviews but also aim to create a platform to enable smart travelling through consumption of valuable reviews written by travellers from across the country.”

“The hospitality industry in Goa will gain immensely from this campaign as traveller reviews, on the numerous hotels, generated by HolidayIQ.com can be tracked, and help them in building their brand image and establish their popularity,” he added.
