Hon’ble Chief Minister of Meghalaya launches Radio Mirchi 91.1 FM in Shillong!

Radio Mirchi, India’s No. 1 radio station, was launched in Shillong today amidst much fanfare! The Chief Guest for the event was Dr. Mukul Sangma, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Meghalaya while the Guest of Honour was Mr. Zenith M. Sangma, Hon’ble Minister of Taxation, Excise, Housing, Sports & Youth Affairs.

The RJs who will host the shows on Mirchi 91.1 were introduced during the launch. Dashing RJ Gordon, vivacious RJ Marisa and the effusive RJ Nicky J are the voices who will keep the people of Shillong entertained all day long with their unique view on all things related to the city.

The playlist of Shillong promises a unique combination of international chartbusters and recent Bollywood hits. The sound of the station will reflect the vibrant nature that this part of the country is known for. This product has been developed after a lot of research and talking to the people of the city. Mirchi also promises to keep listeners hooked by taking up discussions on the topics that are most relevant to the youth of today and also entertaining them with celeb chats, comedy and infotainment.

Speaking on this occasion, Dr. Mukul Sangma, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Meghalaya, said that “I am very happy to see that a national brand of such repute is setting up shop here. I am sure that we will soon see that Mirchi has become an integral part of the cultural and social fabric of Shillong.”
