Hotstar ropes in Ankit Desai as VP - Digital Sales Strategy

Hotstar, the OTT platform from Star India, has brought on board Ankit Desai as Vice President - Digital Sales Strategy. Prior to this appointment Desai was Head - Media & Digital Marketing, India & Global Centre of Excellence at Marico. 

Desai was with Marico for a little over eight years, where he was heading digital marketing and was responsible for setting strategic priorities for the function along with road-maps to execute the same. 

In the course of his career, Desai also worked with NDTV, where he worked on the launch plans for NDTV Imagine. He was responsible for managing the overall marketing and media budget for the channel. 

Before that, he had worked as a media planner with GroupM’s Mindshare Fulcrum; as well as with Dainik Jagran as an Executive in the Ad Sales function.
