Hungama UNiTEs with UN Women for #KaunsiBadiBaatHai Campaign

Hungama, India’s leading digital entertainment company has collaborated with UN Women, United Nations’ entity committed to gender equality and empowerment of women for its ongoing campaign, ‘Kaunsi Badi Baat Hai’. Launched on 25th November 2019, the campaign aims to raise awareness on violence against women and encourage people to build a safe and secure world for women. Culminating today, on World Human Rights Day, 10th December 2019, the message of the campaign will echo across the country with a special anthem. As the Digital Partner for the campaign, Hungama will promote the message across its platforms and make the anthem available on all major music streaming services, in addition to Hungama Music and Hungama Play.

The campaign anthem, aptly titled ‘Kaunsi Badi Baat Hai’, has been composed by Aditya Shekhawat, while Abbas Ali from Slam Out Loud, Hibah Sharma & Sayasha Sharma have sung it.

1 in 3 women face some form of physical or sexual violence in their lifetime. #KaunsiBadiBaatHai campaign was launched by UN Women on 25th November 2019, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, as part of the global 16 Days of Activism which aims to galvanize action to end gender based violence. The call to action is part of the UN Secretary-General's ‘UNiTE to end violence against women’ campaign. The video aims to highlight how violence against women is normalised and trivialised and is a call to action to break the silence and end violence against women and girls.

The campaign anthem ‘Kaunsi Badi Baat Hai’ as well as its video is now available on Hungama Music, Hungama Play and all major streaming services. It is also available as a caller back tune across all major Telcos.
