HyperCITY Announces new Senior Management Team as the Company Continues to Focus on Growth
HyperCITY Retail (India) Ltd. one of the largest hypermarket chains in the country, today announced a number of new executive and senior management appointments. The changes follow the expansion of the Executive Management team, in December 2015 and will ensure the company maintains its strong customer relationships and solid business foundation aimed at aligning the company’s strategic focus to sustain its momentum.
1. Mr. Ramesh Menon has been named as Chief Executive Officerw.e.f. 03rd February 2016.With over 25 years of cross cultural, general management, experience in multinationals across India, Middle East and Africa,Mr. Ramesh Menon brings extensive and diverse experience in the areas of FMCG, retail and manufacturing and telecom. Most recently, he was with Reliance Communications as National Head Wireless (GSM) operations.
2. Mr. Hemant Taware has been serving as Chief Operating Officersince01st July 2015. With a career in retail and FMCG spanning well over 22 years, Mr. Taware brings with him 14 years’ experience in Modern Retail (Departmental stores, Food & Grocery Hypermarkets and Supermarkets) and Specialty retailing (CDIT & Mobiles). His proficiency lies in areas such as Managed Direct Sales, Channel Sales, Marketing, Store Operations, Buying & Merchandising, Store Development, Store Planning Projects & Program management. Most recently he was with CROMA as Chief of Operations, where he not only managed the execution & roll-out but also handled the multi-location network of stores.
3. Mr. Yogesh Bisht has been named as Vice President Human Resourcesw.e.f. 09th November 2015.Yogesh is a practicing HR Professional with over 21 years of experience in Hospitality, Retail and Real Estate Industry. In his previous assignments, he has been Group HR Head with AutoHangar India Pvt Ltd, Vice President- HR & Retail Operations with Staples Future Office Products Ltd., General Manager-HR with Raheja Universal, Sr. Manager HR with Reliance Retail and Sr. Manger- Training and Systems with Mars Restaurants Ltd.
4. Mr. Manoj Jain was named as Vice President of Marketing, Loyalty & Visual Merchandisingw.e.f. 21st December 2015. Mr. Jain brings close to 15 years of experience with a range of Blue Chip companies. While his expertise primarily lies in Brand Management, Marketing, New product launches, Trade & Consumer Promotions and Media planning, he also brings on board his varied experience in Lifestyle, Value & E Commerce formats as well. Most recently, he was General Manager: Marketing & Customer Plan Strategy at Reliance Retail where he was instrumental in formulating marketing strategies at both a national & regional level.
