I&B Ministry pushes Big Boss and Rakhi Ka Insaaf post 11 pm

The government has issued orders to Colors and Imagive TV to telecast Big Boss and Rakhi ka Insaaf anytime between the 11pm and 5 am slot. The decisions were a result of an inter-ministerial meeting on Monday which included secretaries from the Information and Broadcasting, Ministry of Home, Women and Child Development and External Affairs.

The channels were asked to move out of the prime time slot for reasons of it being recognised with adult-content. This is the first time that the government has changed the time slot for popular TV show formats. The channels are also restricted from re-telecasting the shows on any other time slots
