IHRF redefining the realms of possibility for common-man

The India Hot Rod Fest (IHRF), a registered IPR of the IBOX Studios, aims to provide a platform to the Custom Automotive Manufacturer Community and making it visible and viable to a larger population

The inaugural edition of the 

India Hot Rod Fest, to be held between July 25th and 26th, at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC);  provides an opportunity to every automobile enthusiast to not just manifest their love for their rides but to see the creation and get an opportunity to interact with the creators. A key-element of the 2-day extravaganza is the IHRF Auction, a first of its kind in entire South-east Asia, which gives an opportunity for the buyers and sellers to do business on the spot.

Adgully caught up with Ashish Saxena, Founder and Director at IBOX STUDIOS PVT LTD, sharing an insight on how IHRF will benefit the Industry, the future growth of it and its sponsors.

Role of IHRF

While Indians love their automobiles, they also see it as an extension of their own personality’s decorating taxis or personal vehicles with graffiti, or various post-purchase add-ons like steel bumper guards etc. Depending upon their means and budget, Indians love to add ‘that personal touch’ to their set of wheels. 

IHRF will give a platform to the growing community of the Custom Automotive Manufacturer Community to streamline their passion and, from their present unstructured form, evolve into an organised industry. The entire industry ecosystem will benefit from it.

Potential of IHRF

While talking about the sustainability of IHRF, Saxena says ‘it is a long-term commitment for us’. The Industry response has been terrific, also we are receiving queries on participation from all over the country. People have huge expectations from the IHRF, and we want to make it even bigger. In the future, we would like IHRF to be a bi-annual event and take this movement to the other parts of the country as well.

Need for a Property like this

In India, we already have 100+ Brands in the Modifying/Customising Business who are well-known modifiers whose clientele includes the likes of Bollywood Celebs and Top Industrialists. If we include the small-time modifiers as well, this community generating revenue of approximately 150-200 Million INR annually from the finished products.

At the IHRF, all these creations will be showcased to the masses. Custom built cars and motorcycles may appear as a niche market in our country right now, but the enthusiasm generated by the announcement of IHRF is a validation of the fact that we are on a cusp of a new movement. Once these banners come out on one common platform to showcase their Quality & Performance of work, the growth potential will be huge.
