Imagine is all set to launch a new show in its 21.30 slot!

Imagine is all set to launch a new show in its 9.30 pm slot. The show 'Dharampatni' will be aired on 16th of August and will be telecast every Monday to Thursday.

Speaking about the concept of the show, Saurabh Tewari, Head of Programming, Fiction Imagine TV, tells Adgully, "The concept is based on the thought that behind every successful man there is a strong woman, her contribution might not be taken into account but her actions continue to shape the man."

The show is being produced by DJ's Creative Unit.

Tewari points out that the channel will have expansive on ground activities to promote the show. "Our core TG will be women in the age group of 25-45 years. We are looking at an extended on ground activity for almost two months and we are going to concentrate more on the Gujarat market."

Currently the channel has an input of 150-160 episodes of the show ready.

The story enters the phase where Kastur and Mohan are married even after their dissimilarities and beliefs and how Kastur motivates Mohan to make a positive change in his life and create a success story.

Kastur played by Aasiya Kazi is a contemporary urban Indian girl who is rooted, cheerful, optimistic, grounded in her culture but with a never-say-die attitude in life. Although she is not highly educated she has a knack for solving life's problems with her inherent wisdom and positivity

Mohan played by Harsad Chopra portrays a character of a foreign educated guy who has adopted a western lifestyle and western sensibilities and looks down upon his own culture. He has wasted all the money in casinos and living his life and doesn't complete his degree for his further studies. Mohan is also drunker and also a womanizer and is forced to return to India because of some financial mess created by him abroad
