IMAX and Paytm partners for seamless IMAX ticketing experience

IMAX has announced a partnership with Paytm, India’s largest mobile payment & commerce platform, to launch a unified IMAX ticketing platform across India and create unique experiences for movie fans.

Moviegoers can now visit www.imax.com/india or download the Paytm app to benefit from a seamless booking experience to watch their favourite blockbuster movies on IMAX screens. The app will be integrated with the ability to view showtimes and purchase tickets at all IMAX® theatres across India, as well as provide exciting information about films and IMAX technology.

Under the new partnership, Paytm and IMAX will host exclusive blockbuster premieres. These fan-only, exclusive events will take place on Thursday evenings beginning 15 February across all 13 IMAX theatres in India, with additional locations to launch in 2018. IMAX fans will receive a red-carpet welcome along with complimentary food, beverages and limited-edition merchandise. IMAX will also introduce a program offering upgrades to its loyal customers in 2018.  On February 15, Marvel’s highly anticipated Black Panther will mark the first blockbuster film premiere in the series.
