Indeed announces ‘Elevate’ in partnership with SHRM

Indeed, the world’s No. 1 job site will kickstart its two-day hiring initiative – Elevate – on 29 September. Focused on providing career opportunities in the healthcare and health-tech space, the initiative plans to register 10,000 aspiring healthcare job seekers and 20 companies with access to job positions across roles and levels at some of India’s leading healthcare and health-tech companies.

The pandemic has hit economies across the world, triggering widespread layoffs and disrupting employment levels across the globe. However, with businesses adapting to COVID-induced challenges, economic activity has begun to see green shoots and hiring is on the rebound. This is evident in the job seeker interest for allied healthcare roles. Jobs in therapy (61%), dental (55%), and MedTech (54%) have jumped between August 2020- August 2021.

Commenting on the initiative, Sashi Kumar, Head of Sales, Indeed, said, “Jobs under healthcare and health-tech have seen a significant increase on Indeed since the start of the pandemic. Top roles being searched for in the space are ‘physician’, ‘nurse’, ‘pharmacist’, ‘lab technician’ and ‘coding specialist’ all of whom have played a critical role since the onset of the pandemic in the healthcare industry. Elevate seeks to connect job seekers with reputed companies in India, so that the right talent in the industry meets the right employers on one platform.”

The two-day immersive program will be addressed by notable speakers such as Kiran Mazumdar Shaw Executive Chairperson, Biocon Biologics; Swapan Agrawal, Practice & Delivery Leader - Hybrid Cloud Services for Healthcare & Life-sciences, IBM; Chetan Bhagat, author, and columnist; Rajit Mehta, Managing Director & CEO MAX Healthcare; and Simerjeet Singh, motivational speaker, and career expert.
