In the final Opinion Poll before first phase of voting, INDIA NEWS - JAN KI BAAT has projected a victory for Yogi Adityanath led BJP in a highly polarised Uttar Pradesh election, comfortable majority for Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab and a slender edge for BJP in a tough electoral battle in Uttarakhand.

In Uttar Pradesh, BJP is projected to get anywhere between 228 - 254 seats and could get a voteshare of 41.3 ro 43.5%. Samajwadi Party alliance under Akhilesh Yadav's spirited leadership is expected to get its highest ever projected voteshare of 35.5% to 38%. INDIA NEWS - JAN KI BAAT Opinion Poll has predicted single digit seat share for both Congress and BSP. While BJP is expected to get lesser seats in Western Uttar Pradesh than 2017 but it's still projected to get more seats than Samajwadi Party. AAP PROJECTED TO GET 60+ IN PUNJAB

For a third consecutive time, INDIA NEWS - JAN KI BAAT has projected victory for Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab with a projected seatshare of 60-66 and projected voteshare of 41% - 42%. Congress which declared Charanjit Singh Channi as it's Chief Ministerial face on Sunday is expected to get anywhere between 33-39 seats and is projected to get a voteshare of 34% - 35%. While Aam Aadmi Party is projected to make gains from Malwa and Majha, Congress is projected to gain from Dwaba.
