Indian users face Microsoft Teams, Outlook outage
On Wednesday, Microsoft Corporation’s Teams and Outlook stopped working for thousands of users in India. According to Downdetector.com, an outrage tracking website, there were over 3,700 incidents of Microsoft Teams users in India having issues with Microsoft. Due to the outrage many users were unable to access services like exchange of messages, join calls or use any features of the Team application. The tech giant said it was investigating issues impacting “multiple Microsoft 365 services”.
#MicrosoftTeams was a trending hashtag used by the users on the social media site like Twitter.
Around the world, Microsoft Teams has more than 280 million users, who use Microsoft for daily operations like businesses and schools. They also use it for services like to make calls, schedule meetings and organize their workflow.
Azure, a cloud platform of Microsoft, is used by multiple users in Americas, Europe, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa. Only services in China were not hit. Microsoft added in a tweet it had rolled back a network change that it believed was causing the issue. “We’re monitoring the service as the rollback takes effect,” it said.
