Industry experts, emerging talents light up Gozoop Awards Night
Digital marketing awards often bring a mix of new ideas, out-of-the-box thinking and some never seen before marketing strategies. A similar evening was witnessed at the inaugural Gozoop Awards night in Mumbai recently.
Ajai Jhala, CEO, BBDO and Josy Paul, Chairman and CCO, BBDO, were the guests of honour at the event, where they gave some very useful insights and showcased their work that has not only won awards, but touched people’s hearts as well.
While speaking about their journey, Jhala and Paul pointed out that marketing is going through a fundamental transformation and the heart of that is social. At the same time they said, it is not about being on social, it’s about being social. The two BBDO leaders further said that agency heads should think beyond building an agency and go on to build something which was true and authentic. “Create acts not ads,” was their advice.
While the advertising giants gave some interesting insights about the changing scenario of advertising and social, team Gozoop highlighted the campaigns on their clients, like Dell, Hypercity, Kolkata Knight Riders, UP Government and many more.

Nishant Raut -Extraordinary Overall Campaign - UP Government: This ad campaign got Overall Extraordinary Campaign Award. Raut and team came up with an innovative Twitter campaign on Earth Day, wherein for every tweet a tree was planted, which resulted in many trees being planted. Thus, it proved to be an effective way of using social media and encouraging people to support a cause. The campaign also found mention in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Kiran Seth and Premkumar Iyer- Extraordinary Effective Campaign - Pride of cows SEO + Web : For this ad campaign, the team came up with the idea to make the site and the product visible to consumers in an effort to bring in complete transparency. Pride of Cows is a brand which promises to deliver milk directly from the farms to the customers with no chemicals being used and untouched by human hand. Once the customers saw the entire process, right from what the cows were fed to the purity of the milk, they were assured of the quality and this in turn led to a tremendous increase in sale.
