INS warns of debarment of members from MRV process for wrong reporting of billings

The Indian Newspaper Society (INS) has issued a circular cautioning its member publications of debarment from the Monthly Review Verification (MRV) for “wrong reporting”.

In a circular issued INS stated, “It has come to the notice of the Society that in some cases when the Agencies are advised to make the payments to the reported member publications, they reply that the digital payment will be made to the member publications only on the receipt of the payment from their client(s), as mentioned in the Release Order issued by the Agency and accepted by the Member Publications.”

INS said that it would tantamount to “wrong reporting” if member publications report such digital billings dues in the MRV portal of the Society and such member publications will be debarred from reporting the outstanding dues in the MRV Portal for a period of six months.
