Inside Sri Lanka with Mani Shankar Aiyar, the critically acclaimed new series on NewsX, is hosted by the former diplomat and the veteran politician Mani Shankar Aiyar. The series showcases the story of Sri Lanka and the dynamics between Tamil and Sinhalese people.

From the Tamil – Sinhalese issues to the rise of Prabhakaran and LTTE, the series has narrated the history of the last three tortured decades of the island-nation, in the previous episodes. The fifth episode, IPKF WITHDRAWAL AND FAILED PEACE INITIATIVES of the series delves further into the war that was fought between the government of President Mahindra Rajapakse and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE).
