Instagram’s founders to launch new social app

Instagram founders Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger are gearing up to launch a new social app. Although the app is still in the nascent stage, it is said that content will be the primary focus rather than the social elements.
The app, called ‘Artifact’, is designed to provide curated news to its consumers.
The team is working on the social elements of Artifact. It is also planning to develop the ‘following’ feed and messaging. The idea is to mainly to use advanced machine learning to keep users engaged.
Content in Artifact will be selective and will remove posts that promote false news. This will lead to a better approach. We need to wait and watch a to how this app will shape up.
