IPL 8 sees 30% growth in brands

In the third week of the IPL season 8, the tournament has witnessed a 30% growth in brands that showcased their ads during this season. Here is a look at some of the highlights of ratings of week 3 of IPL season 8.

24 matches of IPL 8 were sampled by 163 million unique viewers. Time Spent by Viewers per match was 47 Minutes and 41 Seconds; which is14% more compared to IPL 7. Average TVTs showed a growth of 28% for IPL 8 compared to IPL 7. 24 matches of IPL 8 garnered 3.9% average TVR which was 27% more compared to its previous edition. 60% of the All India Universe tuned to watch IPL 8 matches.

It also witnessed 30% growth in count of brands in 3rd week of IPL 8 compared to its previous week. The top 3 categories contributed almost 50% of the ad volumes during commercial break of IPL 8.
The match between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore on 19th April witnessed the highest viewership in week 17 of TAM data. It saw a total of 4.9 TVRs. The match between Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab on 21st April saw a viewership of 4.4 TVRs which was the second highest in the third week.
