IPLs "Official Merchandise Distribution Partner' now is Yog Sports!

Indian Premiere League (IPL) is everywhere, we doubt if there is any space where IPL doesn't have its footprints. Recently, Yog Sports has acquired IPLs official merchandise distribution partner rights. From now on, the company has the exclusive rights to distribute branded merchandise of IPL and all 8 teams across India for a decade.

Yog Sports - it is a sport marketing and distribution Company. It is part of a large corporate group with investments in diversified businesses globally in Hospitality services, Sports & Entertainment, Financial Research, Investment Banking, and many other sectors.

Yog Sports will distribute the following merchandises - Jerseys, T-shirts, Caps, Key chains, Wrist bands, Backpacks, Gym bags, Flags, Trumpets, and other accessories including those of the official kit sponsors like Reebok, Adidas and Puma. To do so, the sports company will be setting up exclusive "IPL Match Stores' at stadiums, multiplexes, airports, railway stations, and ISBT's, in addition to select malls, high streets, and IT parks where live IPL matches will be screened.

Moreover, Yog Sports is also the exclusive supplier of official merchandise to the IPL Online Match Store, which is available on www.iplt20.com .

On this announcement, Lalit Modi, Chairman and Commissioner, IPL said, "Official merchandise is an integral part of any global sporting league, as it helps enhance fans participation and team loyalties. Together with Yog Sports we have defined a collaborative strategy to ensure that IPL fans get access to authentic team merchandise at attractive prices. Yog Sports will now work towards ensuring the highest quality standard for all IPL merchandise and through their robust distribution network will attempt to reach out to fans even outside the stadia and across India."

The IPL 2010 will be the first year of operations for Yog Sports as a concessionaire of the IPL. And, its merchandise retail footprint is projected to grow from 200 outlets in Year 1 to about 1000 in Year 10.
