Dhirendra Sing  the visionary behind the highly successful story of one of India’s fastest growing fruit juices company, Manpasand Beverages is Patriotic in nature he has always preferred to spend most of his time in India.  In this edition of Fox Traveller Diaries we caught up with Dhirendra Singh to know more about his travel experiences.

Following are the excerpts of the conversation:

Fox Traveller Diaries (FTD): If there is one place you can keep going back to for a holiday, where would it be?

Dhirendra Singh (DS): Lucknow and Varanasi.

FTD: Tell us three good things about travelling.

DS: Meeting new people and having new experiences, on ground realities about developments, current trends of that place etc.

FTD:  When you travel, what is a must carry for you?

DS:  Medicines and water bottle.

FTD:  When and where did your best holiday happen?

DS:  Garhwal in Nainital

FTD:  As a traveller, what’s your tip for the others?

DS: Always study in advance about the destination you plan to visit and also keep a travel kit with all the basic necessities handy.

FTD:  A colleague/co-worker from your industry with whom you would like to go on a holiday.

DS: I would like to go on a holiday with my close friend who is not my colleague

FTD: Have you ever been surprised by the taste of food, outside India? Where?

DS:  I was flabbergasted with the choices of food during my visit to China.

FTD: What and where has been your best bazaar bargain so far?

DS:   None I can remember

FTD: Which has been the most unique destination that you ever visited? When and why?

DS: I found Dubai to be a unique destination. I visited Dubai 7-8 months back and was impressed with the infrastructure, hi-tech innovative engineering and facilities.

FTD:  Tell us how you have managed to make a journey fun.

DS: I have tried to cook on the way and have local food.

FTD:  A gourmet gaffe that you would like to share.

DS: None

FTD: What has been your worst travel moment? Why?

DS: Nothing as of now.
FTD:  What is the best souvenir you ever bought for anyone?
DS: I love to buy something that is handmade (especially if it is khadi) and which is unique about the place.
